My Moleskine today (11)…

The need to draw was "too much" before going to bed yesterday...  I love the scent of hyacinths, it reminds me of the few Christmases I had the chance to spend in Sweden as a child. Some things are strongly connected with even very short moments, instants of our lives. I have lots of these "connections" inside me.

  1. ...and beautiful and delicate thoughts about these strong connections. Scent, taste, music... Maybe art is the most powerful mean to reveal them ?

  2. Thank you for your words and compliments...
I think every art reveal emotions that might stay in our souls for an uncertain time. The ones which stays forever are the once that reached our sensibility in a particular way or that toutched us profoundly because we are who we are. Many of mine are from my childhood. Drawing develop our senses, when we were children we were more sensible and with wide eyes open our mind were creative and we recorded sents, tastes and views or musics in a complete other way than when being adults. When I draw I feel like I'm a child again, my mind is curious about what my eyes are going to discover and when I've finished drawing the image and sensation of that moment stays in my mind with the connection to it...

  4. Merry Christmas my friends! I'm now in a rarely snowcovered region, Normandie. It's all white and beatiful like I've never seen it. The white reveal all the colors in the trees that usually only look grey this season without snow. I think it's my first Christmas with snow since I'm in France (25 years). Again, Merry Christmas to you all!!
