Got some time alone this sunday afternoon, of course I decided to go out to do some watercolor sketching. I went to Jardin des Tuileries, as there are lots of trees where I can sit in the shadow and there are always many people to paint. It was very hot today, 34 C°! After my effort I treated myself with a double ice cream... never tasted that good!

I short hour to draw today, at Place des Abesses in company of my daughter. Drawing felt a bit better today. I was more "decided" and had more conviction. Then the lines come out "truer", with more character. It's also much easier to draw this way, not regarding the fact that I have to "violate" my sometimes "passive"mental state and get into the "action of drawing" to make it work. I guess this is the pure base of being able to draw.
Here are pages out of my brand new Moleskine, so to be continued!...

The peonies where in flower in the countryside this week end.
We picked wild strawberries and blueberries in the woods, there are really ahead of time this year, as any other plant in fact. The weather was still amazingly nice, but no rain since weeks and the grass was burnt like in august. Finally it rained last night and right now, back in Paris, there is a thunderstorm with heavy rain and wind. It was about time! Hope it goes on for some days!! Hope you had a nice week end yourself!

It is more than I expected, the satisfaction is bigger than I could have imagined. I even made new friends thanks to this, without mentioning all I discover when you visit me.
