Another study; "Tree sprouts in a jar"...

An exercise with a messy result. I'm still not used to this sensible paper, (Montval of Canson). A lot of practice is needed. I have images in my mind but I'm far from achieving anything close to them.
Many things disturb me in this one, but I'll just have to continue working keeping my errors in mind, starting over many times, until a tiny bit of satisfaction is felt...
I'm off soon, for a week with a workshop. It will do me good, and I look forward to! : )

  2. I admire your paintings, especially your choice of subject ... and wish I could paint glass the way you do.
(I'm struggling with a couple of flowers-in-a-jar paintings myself.)
A workshop always provides a great lift!

  3. Merci Laurent! :)
Et toi? Tu es de retour à Paris?

Thank's Laura! Just keep struggling like I do! Try out different papers, it changes a lot from one kind to another. Also work with colors in tubes if you can. Do drawings first. In contradiction to what my own teacher says drawing is the base of everything. Happy to hear you like my subjects!
    Kind regards, Helen.

  4. You have a beautiful blog. I love the simplicity of your subjects but then you turn them into something special with your style of painting.

  5. Disfruta mucho, Helen.

  6. Thank you Celia! Nice having you here with me!
