One more watercolor study of another mandarine with a huge leave. The other leaves must have stayed on the tree. Could it be that there are so many dark green leaves on the trees to protect the fruits from the sun, and at the same time to capture most of it's energy with their chlorophyl to nourish the fruit??
I sometimes regret not having study biology. I did like it at a early stage, but nobody told me it could be an option and I was young and silly to know better myself. This said, I could of course pick up some books and start reading now.
